The Morning People
Thanks to everyone who saw us at Strawberry Fair 2005. It was good fun playing to such a big crowd of happy people, and we even managed to make the sun come out during one of our songs. Thank you to all the Strawberry Fair volunteer people for putting on such a great fair this year, and for inviting us to play on the big stage, as well as organising the benefit gigs we played at. We'll put some of our photos of the event on the website soon - meanwhile there are a few here We must apologise to the man who got struck by one of our free CDs that we were throwing out into the audience (well he should have been watching the stage!), and also to anyone who got just the cover with no CD inside, or just the CD itself - let us know if this happened to you. Perhaps next time, we'd better do what Badwell Ash did and just throw jelly babies at people. At least our drummer Sarah's predictiction that the audience would be so fed up with us that they'd just throw things back at us turned out to be untrue. Although we gave out all of the 4-track freebie CDs at the fair, our full-length album 'Cook The Books' is available for £4 (inc. p+p) online or by post, which has lots of the stuff we played on Saturday, plus some slower songs that we really like, but which might have sent a spaced-out festival audience to sleep if we'd played them. What's more, our full-length album is in a proper case, so it'll travel much further when you throw it. * * * * *
